Current Style

The paintings have relief now, which is separated from the canvas by both it's 3-dimensionality and it's color.  The paintings evoke the beauty of satellite photography and cartography.  Because there is a limited time to work with the relief materials, there is an element of Jazz improvisation to the 3-dimensional aspect of the compositions.  The paintings end of having different focal points and climaxes from different distance, similar to how when one looks at a Rembrandt there is a definite interest in the miutae of the paint application as well as the overall composition, only with these paintings, the minutae has been amplified without any loss to the overall composition.
